Kelmar Creations Introduces New Ecotainable® Bioresin Plastic Containers at 2008 OFA Short Course Show

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – July 18, 2008 – Kelmar Creations presented its new line of Ecotainable® bioresin plastic containers and packs at the 2008 OFA (Association of Floriculture Association) Short Course Trade Show held July 18-15 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, Booth #1659.

Kelmar’s Ecotainable® line of grower containers and packs are made from all bioresin materials such as wheat, tapioca, potato starches, and corn, resulting in a product that is completely sustainable and renewable. Ecotainable® products are an ecologically sound substitute for petroleum-based plastics and mark a major break-through towards providing green, environmentally friendly and economically viable products for the nursery industry. These products are completely compatible with existing automated equipment that currently process oil based plastic containers.

The new product introduction is backed with 12 weeks of trials already completed at grower sites. According to Phil Guardia, Founder and CEO of Kelmar Creations, “results from these trials have been favorable with the product performing as expected. The new Ecotainable® product line includes Ecotainers® and Ecopacks® in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors using bioresin based color concentrates, and can be custom-imprinted per customer requirements. These bio-based resin products are ecologically sound substitutes for petroleum-based plastic products and meet the new federal procurement guidelines for bio-based content enacted by the United States Department of Agriculture.
